Head of Freelance Marketing Receives University Business School Prize

Lorraine Davidson has been awarded a Master of Science in Marketing, with distinction, at a ceremony which took place at The University of Glamorgan December 2008. The achievement follows a part-time distance learning course and dissertation on a market research related theme. Lorraine also won the Business School Prize for Best Overall Performance in Developing Themes in Marketing. She adds: “In today’s competitive environment it is critical for marketers to keep abreast of developments in their discipline; you should never stop learning or be afraid to try out new ideas, no matter how long your experience in marketing”.

Head of Freelance Marketing Receives Marketing Accolade

Lorraine Davidson has been given one of her industry’s highest accolades, being made a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). She is one of only 263 women worldwide to receive the title.

Commenting on the achievement, Lorraine said:

“I am delighted with this appointment which I feel comes with a heightened responsibility to continue to expand my marketing knowledge.”

Fellowship status is bestowed by The Institute (CIM) for members who have shown an outstanding track record with a strong marketing background, usually of at least 15 years, and held a role such as Chief Executive, Senior Marketing Executive, Professor of Marketing or Senior Marketing Consultant for a minimum period of five years.
